Upcoming events.

Alexandra Park land is owned by Hastings Borough Council, so generally if you wish to put on a large event in the park you can contact them or get in contact with organisations which already operate within the park to collaborate. Feel free to email the friends you proposal and ideas also as we can help where we can to bring the communities ideas to attention.

To contact the Events Team at Hastings Borough Council (HBC), you can request the Event Enquiry Form by emailing eventsadmin@hastings.gov.uk or calling the council at 01424 451079.

Event Planning and Booking Process

  • Initial Application: All public events held on Hastings Borough Council land require an Event Enquiry Form, which is processed by the Resort Services and event planning teams.

  • Notice Periods: Submit applications at least 3 months in advance for small and medium-sized events, and at least 6 months in advance for large events.

  • Event Management Plan (EMP): A first draft EMP is typically due 90 days before the event, with a final agreed version required 30 days prior.

  • Key Contacts: For events involving road closures, coordinate with both HBC and the Highway Authority at East Sussex County Council (ESCC). You may also need to engage agencies like Sussex Police or the East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service depending on your event's scope.
