Alexandra Park has received a wonderful thank-you from CPRE Sussex following this year’s Tree Festival, which took place across Sussex in May and June.
In a message thanking Owen Johnson for sharing his time, enthusiasm and expertise, the organisers described Alexandra Park as “a revelation” and the walk as “a high point of the festival”.
It’s lovely recognition of our park’s remarkable trees and Owen’s dedication to helping people discover them.
Across the festival as a whole, CPRE Sussex reported:
More than 900 people attending events.
Over 220 children taking part in tree education activities.
35 expert volunteers contributing a combined 685 hours.
The Friends of Alexandra Park would like to add our thanks to Owen, the CPRE Sussex team and everyone who took part, helping more people appreciate the importance of trees to our communities, landscapes and wildlife.
CPRE Sussex is already beginning to plan its 2027 Tree Festival. We look forward to hearing more!
